Parenthood is full of all kinds of sexy challenges, but none is more exciting than the constant quest to find a better way to pack a snack. You’re right. I’m kidding. Snack packing is not sexy. Or exciting. In fact it’s a dreadful, but necessary part of parenting, often the single step that keeps you from experiencing the great outdoors—can’t leave until you’ve got the snacks. Ziplock bags are a single-use environmental mess. Sure, you can wash them and reuse them. But you won’t. Tupperware containers are bulky, always missing lids and often being employed as a hat or a receptacle for stray blocks or tennis balls. So what to do? What’s the convenient, eco-smart thing to do?
